Living our lives is risky business:
- All kinds of things could happen to us. We know some things are more likely to occur — are more of a threat than others. Somehow through experience we build some idea of how much of a threat various things are. But, for the most part we do not have a good tool to allow us to compare various risks so risks remain vague — and in their vagueness they often become more threatening in our perception than they are in reality.
The aim of this website:
- Our goal is to provide a tool that will help each of us put the risks we face on a basis where we can begin to more ready assess their relative significance
How to use this site::
1. Check the Risk Areas Section
2. Select a Risk Area of interest to you
3. Review the areas for which data is currently available
4. Check the Resources sections to find sources that can broaden your perspective
5. Check the References page for each area to learn the sources of data used to provide the comparative risk assessments.
